Coming to St. Gregory the Great for a Shadow Day is the best opportunity to experience what it would be like for you to attend St. Greg’s. Students who shadow at St. Greg’s leave feeling excited for high school and enthusiastic about becoming a Greyhound.

Any student in 7th or 8th grade can schedule a Shadow Day – just choose a day when you don’t have school and call us ahead of time to make arrangements. Shadow Days begin at 7:45 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m.

Shadows will follow a St. Greg’s student through the first half of his or her school day. A free lunch is provided by SGHS for each shadow. Shadows are responsible for their own transportation. The number of shadows who can be accommodated on any given day is limited, so be sure to reserve your preferred date as soon as possible.

Shadow Day Policy

• Students will not be permitted to shadow without proper prior arrangements.
• A Shadow Day Form must be completed. The form can be downloaded from the website or submitted electronically.
• Students must arrive at our main entrance (At the corner of Paulina and Bryn Mawr) no later than 7:45 a.m.
• Students must wear Docker-style pants and a solid-colored shirt with a collar. Gym shoes are acceptable footwear.
• Lunch will be provided by SGHS for each shadow.
• SGHS does not provide transportation for shadows; please make transportation arrangements for your student.
