Greyhounds Defeat Rickover in Regionals
First Regional Win in over 5 years

Sophomore Samantha Bozovich led the Greyhounds with 14 points to a 50-11 victory over Rickover in the first round of the IHSA Regional. The win is the first regional win for the Greyhounds in over five years in IHSA competition.

St. Gregory also got help in the paint from Junior Teri Ewing who scored eight points and had 10 rebounds.

The Greyhounds take on the Bengals of St. Benedict tonight at 8:00 p.m.

Greyhounds Light Up Three-point Contest
Barker and Leos Move on in IHSA Contest

Junior Megan Barker and Freshman Christine Leos moved on in the IHSA Country Three-point Showdown. Leos led all shooters knocking down seven in 45 seconds. Barker was in second place hitting six.

Junior Kathleen Umale and Sophomore Sam Bozovich also participated last night. Umale made four and Bozovich made three.

Barker and Leos will shoot Tuesday night before the Greyhounds match-up with St. Benedict.

Bozovich Reaches Sectional Finals
Sophomore falls one shot short of State Finals

Congratulations to Sophomore Sam Bozovich who reached the Sectional Semifinals at Lisle High School in the IHSA Country Insurance 3-Point Shootout. Bozovich made four three pointers in the finals, falling one shy of the number needed to advance to the State Finals in Normal.
